Goal

The film aims to provide the Western world with a mirror helping them to reach a turning point. Peoples and governments should stop exploitation of peoples in Africa and other parts of the world. A complex issue. Nevertheless western parties can determine their responsibility irrespective of factors that are beyond their reach, such as local conflicts, dictatorships, and climate, et cetera. No longer should we cover up our behavior by only showing internal (African) reasons for the problems in those regions.

In the most stimulating way possible, this documentary will pose the question: Why are people in the Western world ultimately not bothered by the inhumane circumstances of millions?

A change in attitude

More and more, individuals in the West choose to question our economic superiority.

More and more, a demand for equal division of global funds and resources is heard.

More and More, industrial icons call for reason.

'A man who dies rich, dies in shame'. Old words with new meanings.

Government leaders should, to say the least, be encouraged to follow. They should call upon corporate leaders for a kinder capitalism, but most of them do not seem to have a hard time resisting the urge to initiate change. This way the exploitation of many countries, mainly African, can continue for decades.

Nevertheless, half a century from now our children's children will pin us down: Why did we let this inequality continue?

Journalists and documentary makers can play a role in stimulating an awareness-process by informing the public about the true reasons behind poverty and conflict in Africa and other countries.
