Hannie Hoekstra has traveled the world as a radio- and TV-reporter for one of the largest Dutch public broadcasters. She interviewed Nelson Mandela, Al Gore, Shimon Perez and Lech Walesa to name a few.

She anchored the current affairs magazine Netwerk and headed the news desk of the program.

July 2004, after a twenty year career with KRO's Brandpunt and Netwerk, Hoekstra started Media in Transition, as an independent media professional.
